Not a political consultant but I’m not sure “standing up to trump doesn’t work” is the best midterm message, even if if accurately represents senate dems position. Not much point in putting you in power then bsky.app/profile/atru...

First day commuting from RVA to DC.

Took the VRE in. Great experience.

Leaving? Accidentally got on the Manassas train instead of the Fredericksburg train.

Not a great end to my first day. 🫠

It is legal to criticize the president. It is legal to criticize the president's actions. It is legal to criticize the president's advisors. It is legal and patriotic and the blood of a healthy society to hold those in power accountable, and even to mock them. Remember it.
Trump at the DOJ: "I believe that CNN and MSNDC, who literally write 97.6% bad about me, are political arms of the Democrat Party. And in my opinion, they are really corrupt and they are illegal. What they do is illegal."

Honestly. Sincerely.

Resoundingly.

Exactingly.

Fuck every single Democrat who showed up last night and wore pink, held a little church fan, or a little white board.

If you’re not bringing @algreen.house.gov energy, you’re fucking complicit.

Anything short of physically using themselves as human shields to prevent the Musk-ian takeover of all of our government infrastructure should be seen as Democratic cowardice and complacency.

Take notes.

We cannot allow underserved and working families to continue paying the price.

going to be very annoyed if in 3-4 years elite Dems start breaking out the “most important election of our lifetime” line again because buddy, there were, unironically, two Most Important US presidential elections of my lifetime, 2016 and 2024, and the party fucked up both of them royally

In case you didn’t know- the US private healthcare market (and their profits > people m.o.) is precisely why healthcare costs are so much higher here than other countries.
BREAKING: CVS Health, UnitedHealth Group and Cigna are suing the Federal Trade Commission, claiming that the agency going after drug middlemen over high insulin prices is unconstitutional.

Lukewarm take: gov’t depts. are important tools that we use to make sure civil rights are protected, we’re (generally) pretty safe.

Elimination the Dept of Ed would be catastrophic. It’s already kneecapped and underfunded.
I had my $$ on M4L’s Justice. But McMahon fits a type:

Her America First Policy Inst is a big dark money billionaire shop.

AFPI is part of the State Policy Network, which I write about in The Privateers.

Gives full reign to political hatchet-men even if dismantling ED stalls
