"Excessive force," by definition, is ALWAYS unnecessary and uncalled for. If force was appropriate, it wouldn't be called excessive.

Also, an annual reminder that "speed" IS a "rate" (d/t). No need to say "rate of speed" unless you mean a derivative.

The Democrats should begin building a case for law and order -- for restoring the equal and moral administration of justice. Do it now, as Trump’s power grab reaches a tipping point. Promise to hold accountable anyone tempted to break the law in his name.

A fascist state looks like a duly elected Senator being manhandled by police for questioning executive abuse of power.

Not surprising considering the instigation and escalation of violence we’ve seen from ICE and DHS in Los Angeles. The people deserve better.

The True Justice Act would expand access to public defenders at bail hearings because due process must be a right, not a privilege.

Everyone deserves a fair shot in court.

This is the kind of damage that an administration can do in a short time that can't be fixed for many decades, even with subsequent acceptable leadership. Resist.

The move has sparked fierce debate between environmentalists and pro-logging groups who disagree on cutting trees to reduce wildfire risks or improve forest health — two reasons cited in new federal guidance.
Allegheny National Forest will increase logging by millions of board feet this year
Though not an historic high, timbering will ramp up under new administrative directive. The Forest Service will put millions more in board feet for sale, a 12% increase fueled by new federal guidance.
