Hmmm maybe because they are using tear gas, an irritant of the lungs, to suppress and disperse people who are legally expressing their 1st amendment rights, much of which stems from ICE instigation and purposeful escalation in these controlled “free speech areas”.

100% the state will use any means necessary to insure and justify its own survival, which includes alienating and lambasting those who would criticize or call for its abolition, and since the state has the monopoly of violence, they will use it to destroy or suppress said groups.

Completely true, can confirm from also being in contact and attending myself, there is much agitation being directed towards Pritzker due his milquetoast actions and the fact that ISP has been disobeying hos ordered and nothing has been done.

The only solution is direct action by the community.

from what I am hearing from activist friends in Chicago, they no loner see Pritzker as on their side due to the presence of Illinois State Police at the Broadview ICE facility protests.

Led by Rabbi Ben, people have now taken the street and are starting a march away from the detention center into the streets of Broadview.

Immediately after this, most of the march changes their mind and turns back, say they don't want to be led away from ICE.
