Did you say “peril”?? How many journalists will understand the significance of that?

Summers is still teaching?
The Harvard Crimson has ID'ed and published the name of a well-known economist who was the subject of emails between Larry Summers and Epstein.

Born in China, she did her B.A. – Ph.D. at Harvard.

The code name that Summers and Epstein used in their emails about her was "peril." What a vile pig.

The goalposts have now been moved to “purchasing power.” Except the numbers all show that the current economy is only benefiting the purchasing power of the uber rich. bsky.app/profile/atru...
KERNEN: When Trump keeps saying 'prices are falling,' that's not true. I think you should admit that.

HASSETT: But purchasing power has gone up by about $1,200 this year. It's just astonishing to me that the cost problem is somehow being blamed on us.

This is:
- a lie, as an empirical assessment (to distract from the illegality of what Trump is doing)
- propaganda, as a political statement (to obscure what’s happening for the base)
- a window into how MAGA conceives of foreign policy: “We get to hit you, you simply take it, we declare victory.”
