This is actually very sad for the US Army. (Most of) Those soldiers probably didn’t want be there in the first place and most of them probably didn’t deserve to see that sad crowd.

In Grand Rapids, April 5 was boomer heavy with lots of “save this or that” signs. Yesterday was a larger, more mixed crowd with soccer moms holding “Abolish ICE” signs. People are pissed. The “it’s not politics as usual” is sinking in to the “doesn’t watch news much” crowd.

Biggest takeaway from today is that Choreography & Merriment are vital. The people doing percussion were amazing, but we need like 100 times more of them. And some trumpets and trombones too. Biggest impediment to protest is social awkwardness, which drums can really loosen.
