Of course! An Ireland Thinks poll in today's Sunday Independent shows 79% of people support RTÉ's decision not to take part in Eurovision 2026 due to apartheid Israel's participation. Ireland stands with Palestine, always. #BoycottEurovision #BDS

Great piece from @hannahdaly.ie countering the nihilism of the 'we don't matter' arguement

‘Too small to matter’ is the laziest-possible excuse in climate debate
At a time of crisis, co-operation is the only way to resolve the climate collective-action problem

FF, FG, Labour, Greens, and right wing independents voted to hike rents on the poorest households in Dublin City Council.

Tenants have to get organised to resist this government. Stand with your neighbours, and learn from the 1970s rent strikes!

Old Irish Grammar

The Advent Calendar starts at -1, before I came to Maynooth University @maynoothuniversity.ie in 2011. In 2006 & 2010, I produced two descriptions of Old Irish: my textbook Sengoídelc, and a concise typological grammar of Early Irish for the volume “The Celtic Languages”.

Ireland is so beautiful.

Just imagine how it would be if we actually protected and restored our nature, instead of killing it off everywhere, on land and at sea?

"This is the first time we can say with certainty that European wildcats lived in prehistoric Ireland"

A stunning discovery and more evidence that there's a lot left to discover about Ireland's ecology!

Wildcat bones found in Co Clare dated to 5,500 years ago
The first directly dated wildcat bones found in Ireland have been identified, confirming that the species inhabited the island more than 5,500 years ago.

Shame on this landlords' government.

They have refused to ban economic evictions, they're allowing rents to rise faster than ever, while handing hundreds of millions to the developers.

Their friends are getting rich while children are growing up homeless.

We need FG/FF out.

Once again, we are way too relaxed about the fact that "shooting Irish people is good actually" is a mainstream political position on the neighbouring island.

Arrived safely at Cairo airport and on way to town to join the #GlobalMarchToGaza. Nobody being detained and deported this evening.

Pressure on Egyptian government is clearly working. Keep it up demanding that we can march and call for the starvation of Gaza to be ended.

Great to see these Belfast IPSC activists, Sue and Martine, released.
But what a disgrace arresting them for allegedly putting a sticker on an atm, of a bank - Barclays - that is complicit in apartheid Israel's genocide of Palestinians. #BoycottBarclays #GazaGenocide
