Lately it has been demonstrated the essential role of organelle-organelle contacts. Here @jcellsci.bsky.social shows beautifully the main methods to investigate them :) ... although I believe Expansion microscopy can also help for that!

🧩 First-ever cryo-EM structure of transthyretin fibrils from skin tissue! A rare mutation shows the same fold as in other tissues, confirming that a simple skin biopsy can give the same structural insights as invasive organ sampling.
