Sorry, nothing has a record of failure greater than the long history of increasing police training in the US. It's the institutional culture, fiscal rewards, low standards of entry, and politics of over-policing, militarism, and being assigned to discipline non-criminal activity.

Fascinating work here tracing how the IDF recycled 3D assets from a cyberpunk sci-fi art project, the Scottish Maritime Museum and elsewhere to populate its widely-seen models of supposed enemy locations in Gaza, Lebanon and Iran. One of the most infamous, the alleged underground Hamas command center at Al-Shifa Hospital in Gaza City, used to justify an unprecedented assault on the biggest medical center in Gaza, was actually an animation the IDF had used the previous year, saying at the time it was a tunnel beneath a UN school.

One of the (many) legal gaps that needs to be filled after this nightmare is over is to prohibit federal law enforcement agencies from using federal funds to create propaganda videos with anyone in custody. This is all about spectacle and content creation, remove the incentive and the means

Was there college women's soccer at DIII and DI much before the 80s? My high school in NJ had boys from the early 50s on but no girls until the mid-80s... which is, I think, about when Swarthmore added it. I think MSU is the oldest men's team in the present B10, with PSU and IU similar?
