Henry’s thesis is on: “Developing a Naturalistic Metaphysics for Biological Agency”. His goal (our goal in working together) was to show that there’s nothing unscientific or supernatural about ideas of agency, mental causation, and free will. ⬇️ (1/n)

Viola Desmond's story was forgotten for years until her sister Wanda Robson brought it back to light with Graham Reynolds.
Today, Desmond's civil rights fight is known nationwide, and she is on our $10 bill.
This is her story.

The photo depicts a person wearing a light blue garment with intricate embroidery on the shoulders. A prominent feature is a brooch shaped like a hand making a peace sign, positioned centrally on the chest. The background is a faded, neutral color, giving the image a vintage appearance. The person's hair is styled in soft curls, adding to the classic look.

🎉 "High-dimensional neuronal activity from low-dimensional latent dynamics: a solvable model" will be presented as an oral at #NeurIPS2025 🎉

Feeling very grateful that reviewers and chairs appreciated concise mathematical explanations, in this age of big models.

Emily Carr is, in my opinion, the greatest artist Canada has ever produced.
Despite her genius, her work was not appreciated by Canadians until much later in her life.
Not only was she a great painter, she was a gifted writer as well.
This is her story.

Canada: “providing travel and logistical support to people seeking access to abortion care.”

Supporting women’s rights by helping those who are vulnerable, often young, who may not have the money to travel to their abortion: the abortion is also provided free of charge to the patient.

ICYMI: Our team dug deeper into the Trump administration's misleading climate science report. It's more than a fact check. We show the sleights of hand they employ - fake debates, manipulated data, reliance on fossil fuel-funded experts - to reach a desired outcome. www.politico.com/interactives...

The arc of the moral universe is long, but it bends towards justice. Except it doesn’t bend on its own—it bends because we pull it in the direction of justice. What keeps me hopeful during times like these is being surrounded by people who are doing just that.

Strong endorsement. I've worked with a graphics designer on several projects from figure in papers, to meeting infographics, to our institute logo. The human touch is always better - hands down.
