D1) again, this is difficult to pull off at longer lengths. But you don't get good at a thing by not doing it.

E) YOU DON'T GET GOOD AT A THING BY NOT DOING IT done is better than perfect. Don't worry so much about "practicing right" just practice. You can adjust as you need as you go on.

An essential development over the past decade-plus is that the ignorant went from feeling chastened when their ignorance was revealed to banding together and deciding that, actually, they were right. They might disagree at times, but they agreed that ignorance itself was an indicator of trust.

it's kinda weird that all the software i am expected to use for work are all written by distributed teams, go, python, postgres, linux, chrome, k8s etc

and despite being told "the best teams work in an office together" i don't know of any software i use that's actually written that way

When systemically marginalized users pushed back, Bluesky’s leadership minimized concerns and began to target them for bans.

I think some people are also scared to explore outside mainstream art because they might encounter something they fall in love with, but no one they know likes it. They don't want to be embarrassed or cringe or whatever by being the outsider.
Oh nooooooessss, you might read / play / hear / watch something you didn't fall in love with?

That's actually okay.

I think fundamentally, the ability to care about the rights of a small and vulnerable minority (of whom you might know no members) is an important sign of whether you are committed to human rights out of principle, or out of mere convenience.

This is why everything sucks. It's not trans people. It's not immigrants. You are being robbed blind before your eyes and those same people also own all the tech and media networks to tell you that the cause is not them

"We are the sole stakeholders in our own healthcare" is such an underrated point in the trans healthcare "debate." Even if the paternalism of "concern" for trans people that's the pretext for curtailing our sovereignty in our own bodies were sincere (it's not,) it simply isn't anyone else's decision
It really needs to be understood that there's medical and scientific consensus on this, as well as trans people's own knowledge and experience on the subject, which is just as if not more important, as we are the sole stakeholders in our own healthcare.

Clearing homeless camps isn't addressing homelessness, it's just further traumatizing already traumatized people by destroying what little they have left, it won't solve any issues, but it's a show of force. That's fascism right there, the state won't help, only punish.

But doesn't he look COOL!?
