Canada should have more subway lines and systems. Calgary should absolutely have a subway system and every other city with one should have 1-2 more lines.

CP24 invented brain rot.

I realized today that they're the original split-screen subway surfers/slime video with a movie clip playing at the same time

i wonder what the results would be if ppl had to answer in fractions instead. 20% doesnt sound like much until you say it's one-fifth.
“In 2022, YouGov asked “What percentage of Americans do you think are ___?”

The results were hilarious.

Trans: 21%
Muslim: 27%
Jewish: 30%
Black: 41%
Live in NYC: 30%
Gay or lesbian: 30%

The errors are off by orders of magnitude. The trans estimation by 2,000%.”

100%, there's a strong, almost-overwhelming desire from liberals to understand, engage, and empathize with conservatives in a way there almost never is vice-versa. Nobody in MAGAland 2020 was like "wow we really need to listen to Biden's arguments and learn how he connected with voters"
One thing I find interesting about the echo chamber complaint is that an echo chamber just won a presidential election.

Put aside the convo of whether it’s “good” or “bad” for a moment. The far right has devoted enormous resources + time to building echo chambers & loathes spaces they don’t control
The "bluesky is an echo chamber" think pieces that keep popping up really tickle me because they show how certain people genuinely believe social media should be for debating and arguing and not talking about the things that make you happy and sharing art with the world.

Not all political rhetoric is about signalling how moral you are.

I feel like because competition between left-wing elites is so fierce (due to greater numbers) there's a selective pressure for purity rather than persuasiveness. We should let things slide a bit more or be nice about correcting

The actual biggest danger to kids’ safety is cars; and people lose their fucking minds when you suggest traffic calming infrastructure near schools.

Yeah, schools are supposed to be surrounded by a moat of car exhaust as god intended it to be
