My partner decided to take the LSAT and got into law school and I’ve done my best to support her. I knew it would be difficult, but I think it may be the most difficult thing I’ve ever done. I don’t know how people maintain relationships this way. I feel like I failed. Like I could have done more.

The thing about ending 2025 with a breakup of a live-in relationship is I’m finally going to have the time to catch up on all the books I purchased and shelved this year. And more room for more books, at that. 2026 is all about taking care of me and feeding mind, heart, and soul.

Perhaps the term anarchism should be scrapped for the modern age. A rebranding of sorts to mutual aid would get a lot of folks on board. Capitalism fails, as it is designed to do, and solutions are built from the bottom. No governments, edicts, or law required. Shout out to my boy Kropotkin.
When formal systems stop working, neighbors turn to each other in what many call 'mutual aid'
Organizers say that interest in local, grassroots initiatives to meet community needs has been growing.

ER doc here! This is a lie. Wait times are up because the American healthcare system is an unsustainable business model and a for-profit national healthcare system just doesn’t work. These problems will continue to get worse until we change that system. It literally has nothing to do with immigrants
Vance: "If you're an American citizen & you've been to the hospital in the last few years, you've probably noticed wait times are especially large & very often somebody who's there in the ER is an illegal alien. Why do those people get healthcare benefits at hospitals paid for by American citizens?"

Hard seeing things like ‘Wouldn’t it be great if Kamala was president?’ when I’m ‘Wouldn’t it be great if the imaginary borders dividing the planet were forgotten and billionaires, fascists, misogynists, and racists were dropped in a bottomless well in a grand, cathartic act of renewal?’ #thinkbig

This man (and all at Reading Rainbow and PBS) were tremendously valuable for me as a child and I am grateful for them always. I’m sure many would say the same.

Debates about anarchism versus socialism reveal that many people are unaware of the history of the socialist movement. At Offshoot, we made a zine explaining how this nonsensical binary shows a need for more political education on these terms people misrepresent. offshootjournal.org/anarchism-or...

<p>Offshoot Journal presents Anarchism or Socialism (A Nonsensical Question). Though plenty of educational materials address the history recounted in this short zine, it felt necessary to create. Many...

“Universal Suffrage is a snare; it may be the People that do the electing, but the person elected is the boss, the Sovereign. No matter what class they may be drawn from, the deputies make up a discrete class, which is the class of those who live off the backs of the People.”

I read a comment here that protesting Schumer would please Trump, therefore it shouldn’t be done. I have no words.

Hey, let’s platform a non-primaried candidate that had little support in 2016 when running for the nomination against Biden, who now, in 2024, is exceedingly unpopular, and to whom Harris is tied. Not to mention, America has yet to show the capacity to vote for a woman across cultural divides? 🤷‍♂️
So many Dems in this comment thread claiming the election was rigged, not picking up on the irony. Look in the mirror, folks.
Kamala Harris had a much-lauded network of door knockers that could supposedly swing the election. Why didn’t it matter?
