i’m really grateful for all of my roommates. this is a really mellow room with lots of chill pot smoking older folk who like good music and have *lived*. kind folks who understand solidarity and looking out for each other and maintaining our dignity despite the circumstances.

how the hell doe she staff have zero training on what to do in a minor emergency? i repeat: this place is a death trap and they don’t give a damn what happens oo us because many of them see us all as less than. it’s really gross.

there is an agreement in the room that the staff doesn’t give a shit. some of the folks in the room are becoming nauseated.

there is a pungent musky mold or chemical smell in our room and everyone in here has complained about it as it hurting folks nose and eyes. the staffs initial reaction was “ok” and then “we don’t know to do about it but we put it in the log. management will be here at 6:30.” on the second complaint.

fell asleep on the train yet somehow woke up just as we got to my stop. and now i’ve been laying in bed for the last hour with music and eye mask unable to sleep. clearly i need to get back on the train to use bungee corded puffy jacket as a body pillow.

so i basically wasted an hour or two of my day and exerted an unnecessary amount of energy walking everywhere.

went all the way to legacy urgent care in north portland and was told by the receptionist they no longer do pcr tests, they don’t know of anywhere else in town the does pcr tests, no one really does pcr tests anymore which i don’t really want to believe because that sucks big time.

zoom are doesn’t take ohp but they recommended a clinic that does and will be able to test with a pcr.

i also got liquid if because i am definitely dehydrated as well as Mucinex and Tylenol and took those while waiting for the bus and i’m still a bit out of it but definitely feeling better.

mentor/former mentor/friend told me to email the mayor and the city councilors for that district and open a dialogue because they should know the direct experience of their constituents in these shelters.

found out our just future formerly known as [in]human solutions is a county run shelter. so if i get pneumonia or long covid i am suing the county.
