[Traffic violence]

Another high speed vehicle collision where the only victims are bystanders. Left exposed to harm, by traffic engineers.

That traffic light was built to break away from its base in order to […]

No photo, but yesterday’s #coffeeneuring was a jaunt at the end of the work day, for mock meat groceries and a pint of cider at Get Well.

Depending on when you were born, DST either steals an hour from you and then returns it, or lends you an hour and then takes it back.

Either way, it’s a lousy disruption for everyone, twice a year.

Happy extra-road-deaths-day, to all the ham-fisted legislators who celebrate that.

(If NY […]

Last night, Sportsnet showed a montage of swing and miss against Yesavage, with the Beach Boys’ “I Get Around” as the soundtrack.

😂

Haven’t found the clip online yet.

Does anyone know of a source?

Nice to see the TTC in Toronto recommending fare capping. #guelphtransit introduced it here in July 2023. It has increased both revenue and ridership numbers in #Guelph, while also making it easier, more accessible, and affordable for anyone to take the bus in our city.
Thrilled to see the TTC recommend fare capping as part of the Ridership Growth Strategy, something that we have long called for as a common-sense solution to making transit more affordable!

This would replace an expensive monthly pass, that you need to pay for upfront on the same day as your rent.

There’s something very wrong about a link on a website called “enable accessibility”.

That’s divisive, and supposes that accessibility is for “other” people.

This is from Birkenstock, but presumably there are others out there.

Today’s the 16th anniversary of moving to Canada with @notcontrary.

It has been a huge adventure, most of shared it with the (ever-growing) #tinycanadian.

Toronto has been the place I’ve lived in for the longest for a while now, even if I still feel kind of new here.

I’m very grateful to feel […]

This is both delightful in its own right, and a very pleasant counterexample to @ianb’s generally sound law of headlines.

Locally, I’ve seen four bunnies between Dufferin and Christie / Bloor and Dupont-ish in the last three months, versus zero in approx ten years before that. So it’s #qtwtaiy […]

Oof:

“This vulnerability is due to the presence of static user credentials for the root account that are reserved for use during development.“

Presumably by “reserved for use during development” they really mean “only intended for use…”.

Even the bus stops on Eglinton itself are gas-lit.

Apparently the stop at Eglinton and Mount Pleasant is also a “shuttle stop” for the Line 5 that Metrolinx and the provincial gov still haven’t delivered, and refuse to announce a (new) date for.

Trying to decide whether I should report a driver who knocked me off my bike then failed to remain on Shaw Street earlier this week.
