Despite all your submissions, disappointed Council adopted the item without debate. With new cycling projects not moving forward and previous approvals put on hold, the (already modest) planned progress of Toronto's cycling network is at risk of being set back a decade.

Not the worst outcome for that part of Bloor from Resurrection to Clissold, but that cycle track is going to be pretty narrow as what currently exists going westbound.

This is about personal grievance for Ford, taking care of friends in that area who don't like bike lanes, and pleasing the anti-woke folks in his base who see bike lanes as an archetype for 'the libs'.

Agreed. This past April was the first time I didn't vote NDP federally given Jagmeet and the party had lost their way. The Air Canada flight attendant strike had my support given not paying them for ground time and the record time back to work order were both wrong, but just can't support CUPW.

That line about infrastructure to slow down drivers - while technically correct - is rich coming from someone who restricted the ability of cities to put in a particular one last year which actually works. If Ford doesn't want speed cameras, then REPEAL BILL 212 NOW! #shame #BikeTO #TOpoli #ONpoli

A new motion risks delaying or even shelving the Sheppard Ave E Complete Street indefinitely. Nothing in Bill 212 blocks the City from proceeding with the project. Tell the City we need leadership that stands firm, and not let fear of bullying block our progress.

A reminder that Ford has repeatedly used or threatened to use the Notwithstanding Clause to undermine democracy by:

- Limiting third party election advertising
- Slashing Toronto City Council mid-election
- Undermining education workers' labour rights
- Evicting encampments
- Removing bike lanes
