Tough Year for Bikes but Optimism Lies Ahead - Spacing Toronto
Last year was a tough year for cycling and road safety in Toronto. The Ford government secured a third straight majority in February and followed up on last year’s Bill 212 with Bill 60, which banned ...

Interesting video by @nerd4cities.bsky.social comparing transit in North America. As much as we Toronto folks love to complain about the #TTC, we have the 2nd highest ridership per capita (165 vs 180 for NYC). Wonder how Lines 5 & 6 will impact these numbers? #TOpoli #ONpoli youtu.be/17upoRCn01s?...

Improving the Eglinton LRT - Fewer Intersections
An ongoing question we'll need to answer: How do we modify the at-grade portion of the Eglinton LRT so that the experience and operations are more like the underground portion?

Governments don’t expect drivers to shovel their own lanes. They shouldn’t expect people walking, biking, or rolling to shovel their own, either.
Comm Ave now has a bike lane again thanks to the effort of this volunteer crew!

This is just one street, and we don't have the plows that the city has. Let's get this done city-wide!

The Eglinton Crosstown LRT will remake Toronto’s transit system. Is it too little, too late?
What kind of an impact will the Eglinton Crosstown really have when it comes to helping 3.3 million residents navigate this city?

Finally some @cyclingpedestrian.cityof.toronto.ca updates about the winter bike lane clearing! While it's good to see Richmond and Adelaide are done, let's keep reporting other snow covered bike lanes to 311 and notify the respective councillors. #BikeTO #TOpoli #VikingBiking #VisionZero
Cycle tracks on Richmond Street and Adelaide Street have been plowed and salted. Please report bike lanes or other areas that require attention by contacting 311, which allows crews to quickly identify hotspots and respond where support is most needed. toronto.ca/311

Ontario deserves better & it starts with a public inquiry into the Eglinton Crosstown, which was over $1B over budget! We need answers on what went wrong, impact on small businesses, and how to prevent future mismanagement of public resources.  #EglintonCrosstown #YSW #ONpoli #Accountability

Doug Ford is a coward for refusing to hold a public inquiry into the Eglinton Crosstown LRT! With fifteen years of construction, costs of over $13 billion, and endless disruption to local businesses, the public deserves answers NOW! #shame #TTC #TOpoli #ONpoli www.thestar.com/news/gta/no-...
No public inquiry into Eglinton Crosstown LRT woes, Doug Ford says: ‘Buddy, you’ve got to be a little more positive’
The premier and Toronto’s mayor, along with other dignitaries, marked the opening of the long-delayed Eglinton Crosstown LRT on Friday with the unveiling of a plaque.
