This series of Taskmaster is shaping up to be my favorite so far. Great energy in the studio - “What’s going to happen when we graduate?” was a brilliant line - exactly what I hoped for when I heard Jason was going to be on.

Nothing to see here folks. Just two normal dudes communicating with spirits who guide their actions.

An addendum to my prediction thread: besides the prison-labor system they intend to build, enforced by the police state, as used as constant threat to stay in line, the intention is to destroy much of the government:

ME: *writing in my journal with the sole aim of pissing off future historians and archaeologists* I returned to my home - which is built in the usual style - by the normal way, and prepared and ate dinner in the way I often but not always do

Hell yes
What has 10 legs and is coming soon? Give up? It's the cast of Series 19!

#Taskmaster returns with Fatiha El-Ghorri, Jason Mantzoukas, Mathew Baynton, Rosie Ramsey and Stevie Martin.

By some combination of age/disposition of users, main feed being driven by mostly positive engagement instead of ragebait/anger, and a seemingly more egalitarian promotion of users, tiktok was likely the best social media for any left wing position.

Doubt there is any information showing TikTok as a national security threat, I think the spooks went to Congress and showed off a fraction of what they collect/what they’ve been able to do to people on FB/twitter/etc and pulled the classic “if we are doing this imagine what the commies are doing!”

I think it will always be funny to me that one of the most influential rap albums of the 90s ends with a line listing off the lucky charms marshmallows.

There was (is) an effort to create a Democratic equivalent to January 6/“Stop the steal”. It seems to have all the same style of world building (reading into vague politician statements, drawing in obscure/unrelated judicial or criminal proceedings, wild speculation presented as certain/likely)

I sometimes think about how amazing it must have felt, being Bill Watterson, and saying no to every request and proposal to expand the Calvin & Hobbes IP to tv, movies, merch, you-name-it. To be in that position, in need of nothing more, and to just say no thanks.

Hypnotized is my favorite Fleetwood Mac song, and it isn’t even close.

I’d listen to a 100 spooky rock songs about paranormal events like this

They are small (late planting + I barely watered them) but harvesting broccoli and thai peppers in mid November in Massachusetts is insane. All my peppers, basil, even my citrus I left outside is still alive cause we haven’t had a hard frost or snow yet.

And then months later, in the middle of winter, when walking my dog I saw it. The ring was just hanging off of a tiny branch in the middle of a hedge bush in front of our house. Apparently had been there for months and no one walking by had taken it.

Likely the craziest thing that ever happened to me is that I lost my wedding ring in the fall a few years back. I spent hours ripping the house apart, hours scouring the neighborhood with a ring finding pro with metal detector.

There is a little free library near my house that sees a lot of foot traffic and has a huge turnover easily 20-30 books a week). BY FAR the least popular book is something Katie Couric authored. I walk by it everyday and have a bit of joy in seeing it untouched.
