Three million people live in Caracas, five million in the metro area. It's one of the densest cities in South America. Remember this in the morning when they try to spin this as anything other than a cold-blooded attack on a major civilian center.

Even if Trump’s attack on Venezuela and kidnapping of Maduro somehow led to a positive impact on Venezuela’s future, it would not make these actions by the United States legal, moral or wise.

Normalising and legitimising this behaviour endangers all countries - democracies and dictatorships alike.

So the US has illegally attacked a sovereign nation, and abducted its leader.

Regardless of how damaging that leader was to that nation, this should not be how our country operates.

I’m aware that regime change is not new to the US, but when will it end?
BREAKING: The U.S. has conducted a "large scale strike” on Caracas, Venezuela.

Trump says he ordered an illegal invasion and attack on Venezuela, has captured its President Nicolas Maduro and his wife and flown them out of the country.

The “pro peace” President just started another war for oil.

It’s exhausting and boring, but because the wilful misunderstanders will be out in force some of us are going to have to spend a lot of time saying:

No, we do not like or support Maduro.

We like and support the rule of law.
Maduro is a brutal and oppressive dictator of Venezuela.

Trump has no legitimate legal basis for military action against Venezuela under United States or international law.

Both of those facts are simultaneously true.

1917 – 1975: Over 618k Americans died in major wars (roughly 10,600 deaths per year on avg)
1975 – 2025: Roughly 7,500 Americans died in combat (roughly 150 deaths per year on avg)

The American people will not tolerate the loss of life that will come from a stupid war with Venezuela with no cause.

BREAKING: A Russian newspaper today — “America no longer sees our country as a threat… The US leader’s philosophy is closer to the values of Russia’s president, not the politicians of the Old World… he sees Europe as a liberal stronghold that must be destroyed…”

Read that again.

Climate change is all to real.

Hurricane Melissa is now packing 175 mph winds over a 60 mile wide path and moving at just 2 mph, which means parts of Jamaica and Cuba could see 30 hrs of total destruction.

In a rational world the USA would be prepared to lend aid, instead, crickets.

Sorry to step away from the catfight, but we’ve got a win! A federal judge has temporarily blocked the Trump administration’s attempt to dismantle AmeriCorps halting the termination of grants and its volunteer network!

A lot of people seem to think following the U.S. Constitution is optional—like picking which shoes to wear in the morning. It’s not. If you’re within the boundaries of the United States, the Constitution applies to you.
