I want people to think more critically over AI and understand WHICH AI is the kind ruining our environment (it's genAI). AI in general has been around for decades and fear mongering over anything labeled "AI" is doing more harm than good. The AI that detects cancer isn't genAI.

tl;dr: GenAI and game design concepts traditionally referred to as "AI" (enemy behaviors, pathfinding, etc.) are not the same thing, and I'm on my knees begging people to learn the difference, lest we see more bullshit claims like what The Escapist put out re: Blue Prince.

easy to feel demoralised seeing all these game company CEOs talking about genAI but remember a bunch of rich people will lose a lot if we don’t suddenly develop an unquenchable appetite for slop so they’re actually the ones on the back foot and have every incentive to lie about everything
