This advice is so great. I've studied languages throughout my life and discovered that I always retained skills best when I would find ways to play in another language. Play is a way to make the unfamiliar more familiar, to experiment and then accept success or failure without stress.
Watching a skateboard video where the answer to "how do I get over the fear aspect?" is answered with "Be playful," and it's so cool to see advice that I've given in art and animation having commonality with this very different skillset

There are kinks about me that I may not be safe sharing with the public for a long time, but I've always been able to keep my head on by reminding myself that this is all a safe way that I can experience my kinks without endangering myself or others. It's the GTA effect.
Smut and kink in general serves a similar purpose to horror as a genre; it’s an excellent way to experience things of that sort in a safe environment where you have a pause button available at all times. Makes sense why I was draw to horror as a youth and participate in kink now, they’re healing!
Think of how little you would know about some of your most absolutely basic urges if you DIDN’T have access to the things that conjure these feelings in a safe, controlled environment. People are complex, sex is completely normal and exploring yourself is within society’s best interests.
