This is a case study in how seamlessly aesthetic judgments can be mobilized into moral crusades with little to no grounding in ethics at all. I have yet to see criticism of her that goes deeper than "it's gross" or vague claims about her being "problematic" that amount to more than hand ringing

Never get over how old the practice using statistics and math to detect crime is. We may have computers and "artificial intelligence" now, but in 2023 like in 1916, math cannot predict what people will do. It can only criminalize people's proximity to existing policing.

It’s no mistake that “terrorism” is only used to describe violence committed by politically disenfranchised actors in the absence of state sanctioned power. State power commits much more violence, but naturalizes / invisibilizes it as necessary / normal. Only resistance to the state is terrorism.

Babe wake up, Playboy is using the same reactionary argument deployed by anti-porn advocates that equates disgust with hate speech to justify retaliating against one of its employees for her political beliefs.

This is super my approach and it's so good to hear it articulated. I also see it as a fascinating study into humanity and the person you're with. You might not meet them again but you'll learn something. Even if its not actually a "fun" time.

There is a silent concensus that the only interesting thing to come out of Žižek's mouth is spit and yet it seems that every 6 months or so leftists are always having to rediscover how much he sucks. Is this what Hegel ment by bad infinity?
