Agree the article is trashy click bait.

But the principle of transitioning inhalers is not (for most).

The turbuhalers are actually more efficient delivery devices.

Totally agree.

This is _entirely_ our responsibility.

Two years back I was admitted for surgery and my hospital provided me two MDIs in place of the 1 turbuhaler they didn’t stock.

Was added to the agenda of the next department meeting.

We do understand the numbers. Why we have moved on this as it can create a meaningful impact.

It’s not harming anyone. It’s moving patients (myself included) to what is actually a better delivery device. If they can do so.

It’s not shaming. It’s reality.

Medicine has a very large carbon footprint. In anesthesia we have mothballed Desflurane for this reason.

I switched to a turbuhaler for my asthma some time ago and have been encouraging those patients who can to make the switch (not all can).

School boards across the province say speed cameras are one of the best ways to ensure student safety and are asking Premier Doug Ford to reconsider banning them.

“When it comes to protecting children in school safety zones, we must take every possible precaution. Slowing drivers down around schools reduces the risk of tragedy and keeps students and their families safer,” says a statement released Monday by the associations representing all 72 public, Catholic, French and French Catholic boards and trustees.

” … These cameras have been shown to be one of the most effective tools available to keep children and families safe near schools … (and) pediatric specialists have been clear: Speed is the single most important factor in whether a child survives a collision.”
