AOC is obviously the leader of the Democratic party. The time between now and when that becomes the reality, will very, very likely be more of the same tired appeasement tactics and sad sop losing.

It's weirdly difficult to remember that Trump's popular vote margin was /less/ than Hillary's in 2016. Biden got more votes in 2020 than Trump got in 2024 and Trump surrogates all under-performed in congressional races.
This is not a mandate, I don't get why it is being portrayed that way.

Yesterday Trump had to walk back from his implication that he might not follow judicial orders b/c prominent Republican Senators were pissed. Every wedge is an opportunity.

None of this is new. People in these spaces have been fighting the scapegoating of immigrants — and in particular Mexicans, for over a century. Much of America shut their eyes & forgot. At the very least we have more Latinx representatives, lawmakers, & voices for this next wave of hatred and blame
