Also, even a temporary or partial interruption in NOAA/NWS 24/7 lifesaving services--which are often used in an hour-by-hour (even minute-by-minute) context--would have this effect. The NWS is a critical public utility and it would be extremely difficult to rebuild if torn down.

Since all the transphobes are quiet about the possibility of the Department of Education getting eliminated, I guess it was never about protecting women’s sports after all, since the DOE is the department that enforces Title IX.
