This is not about the merits of Iran’s nuclear program. No president has the authority to bomb another country that does not pose an imminent threat to the US without the approval of Congress. This is an unambiguous impeachable offense.

So let me get this straight: masks are bad and un-American if worn to fight a pandemic, but good if worn by people claiming to be government agents when they kidnap people off the street

Legal/Constitutional scholars, is there a RICO version of impeachment or the 25th amendment we could try out? Because this list is... rough.

A host fee that's almost as much as the rental itself is nuts.

Invoking state secrets regarding the deportation of Venezuelan "gang members" the day after half your cabinet gets caught in a group chat on an unsecured channel sharing classified information is certainly a choice.

My mother planned well for this phase of her life. But losing her SS check and Medicare could be absolutely devastating for her ability to stretch her retirement as far as she needs. We will do whatever we need to do to care for her, but pretending no one will mind if these resources go is crazy.
Stewart-Cousins: My father had Social Security in the amount of $300. Like Lutnick said, he would not have called if he did not get the Social Security check. He had dementia. But the people who take care of him would have called because it made the difference of him keeping a roof over his head

Baseball media: if you do not loudly report on this I do not want to hear a goddamn thing from you about Jackie Robinson on April 15.

The Department of Defense deemed a story about baseball hero and civil rights leader Jackie Robinson's time in the Army as "DEI" and deleted it.

People need to be crystal clear about something: The requirement that the government ANSWER to a court on the legal basis for detaining someone is literally the core liberty right (habeas corpus). If the government says they don’t have to do that bc “national security,” YOU can be disappeared.

Criminalize Habitat For Humanity?! WTF!
The FBI is moving to criminalize groups like Habitat for Humanity for receiving grants from the Environmental Protection Agency under the Biden administration.

Rubio has several clips like this about various issues like the virtues of foreign aid and celebrating freedom. He apparently decided he couldn't get close enough to power by saying those things.
Wow — Marco Rubio in 2017:

"…Republican party today controls the White House, the Senate, and House and yet you have people with the freedom in this country to be able to stand up and oppose that…blessed to be able to live in a country where opposing the party in power does not mean you go to jail"

There is a real, genuine 1st Amendment crisis in the United States right now.

The government is openly retaliating against anyone with a viewpoint it doesn't like: Pro-Palestinian protesters, law schools teaching Black History, pro-immigration public service loan forgiveness seekers.

The Arizona school voucher scheme has blown a massive hole in the state budget. In 2025, vouchers for private schools will be responsible for a $1.4 billion state budget deficit and for a funding loss of 300K per school in the state.

Vouchers are a scam.

Arizona, the model for voucher programs across the country, has spent so much money paying private schoolers’ tuition that it’s now facing hundreds of millions in budget cuts to critical state program...

Honestly, as bad as that Oval Office meeting was, I think it was kind of brilliant of Zelensky. Contrast Trump and team with real leadership. He came off strong, Trump came off unhinged and compromised. It all played out in front of the cameras and reinforced support from around the world.

This is small in comparison to all that'd going on, but I'm starting to really worry about our plans to visit Rocky Mountain National Park this summer. Flying cross country to a park that may not be open/staffed. It's a big deal for us as a family. I hate that it might get undercut by this regime.
