We hope this work will be useful to anyone in the field of cardiac regeneration research and beyond. Summarizing such a dynamic topic was a long effort but rewarding, as the findings are highly relevant to our ongoing REGeRNA project: regerna.eu.

In the review, we explore strategies to promote cardiomyocyte proliferation. We highlight the challenges in measuring cardiomyocyte division, discuss the strengths and limitations of current experimental models, and provide insights into emerging regenerative tools such as mRNA therapies.

To better understand the current literature, we created a GPT-4-based tool that summarizes a large body of research into a browsable table: abois.shinyapps.io/table/.

Created a starter pack focusing on disease modeling in a dish using stem cells! 🧪🔬

Please (self)nominate anyone you think should be added to the list and repost so it finds the right people ❤️

With Christmas just around the corner, it’s time for the #FluorescenceFriday post🎄!

This week, we’re featuring a hiPSC reporter line engineered to express 2 fluorescent proteins—located in the nuclei and actin filaments of #hiPSCs, generated using STRAIGHT-IN Dual🧪🔬

As a re-introduction to new followers, my lab at Wake Forest University studies mechanisms of regeneration in the phenomenal #axolotl with an emphasis on imaging. We think that visualizing cells and molecules in 3D/4D is vital to understanding how regeneration works!

How to fix a broken #heart 💔->❤️

#Proteoglycan rich #ECMatrix scar tissue is laid by migratory cells after a cardiac scratch wound with #hiPSC #Cardiomyocytes.

Happy #Fluorescencefriday #BlueSky & #CardioSky!
