In November 1990, LIFE Magazine ran a now-legendary photograph of AIDS activist David Kirby’s last moments. Just out of frame was another eventual victim of AIDS, and the reason Therese Frare was in the room at all; Peta, a two-spirit caretaker with their own story to tell.

It was the spring of 1990, A young man named David Kirby lay on a hospital bed in Columbus, Ohio, dying of a disease that had ravaged his body and torn its way through his community. A call goes out to one of the nurses in the hall, accompanied by a young journalism student and friend of both the nurse and the young man. The journalism student waits outside, as the nurse helps the family to grieve and helps ease the man’s pain on what would be his last day on earth. But then, the door opens, and the journalist is invited in, to carry out the young man’s wishes and share what this disease had done with the world.

Wanted to to graphic design, but got pushed into architecture because it is "more stable." Currently doing 3D renderings of buildings (along with CAD drafting) so like half-way there.

Lynds 483 Forming Solar System Serpens Constellation The James Webb Space Telescope’s image reveals the actively forming stellar system Lynds 483 (L483), located 650 light-years from Earth in the Serpens constellation. At the center is a thin, vertical cloud known as Lynds 483, which takes on an approximate hourglass shape with irregular edges. Shimmering ejections, emitted by two actively forming stars, compose this nebula. The high-resolution near-infrared image highlights new details and structures within these lobes, including asymmetric lines that appear to intersect. The lower lobe of the hourglass is partially cut off, while the upper lobe is fully visible and fades toward the top. The data was captured using Webb’s NIRCam instrument.

Got my Oberon's Court mystery box from @peculiarityshop.bsky.social in the mail today. I was not expecting to cry, but @beckymew.bsky.social 's set caused the waterworks (happy tears). I didn't see the clip-ons until I removed the necklace from the packaging. thank you all for these beautiful pieces
