It’s the “season of love and giving”…but this year, doesn’t it seem more like a “season of fear and taking”? Like many of you, I’ve been saddened by the human impact of draconian government budget cuts and how angry many housed Americans are at unhoused Americans.

It might be easy to find things like this merely petty or superficial, but that would be a mistake. Demeaning, erasing or eliminating celebrations or acknowledgments of Black America is straight from Redemption playbook, and is intended to reinforce the racial hierarchy and signal its reinstatement.

This is exceptional incompetence. Basic production facilities in the US have more robust training, safety and oversight functions. Move the focus and $ from the reckless Immigration actions to the rehabilitation of the Armed Forces.

I’m going to the funeral of my Mom’s best friend tomorrow. She was 95. And a nun. And I’m named after her. She was with our family through it all, the good, the bad and the utterly heartbreaking. She was strong, smart and kind.
I chose a perfect ensemble because she and my mom would like that. ❤️

Arianna Sofia Veraza and her parents were driving to Sam's Club for milk, eggs and diapers yesterday when they heard helicopters and horns blaring yesterday. They had turned around to leave when a federal agent pepper-sprayed them through a car window.
