Barnard welcomes all opinions. Unless you are an anti-colonialist student. Or staff. Or faculty. Views are not those of the college, except the Board has my back and I control the purse strings, so actually they are.

This is the same crowd that unironically created "Soylent" because cooking and eating actual food takes away too much time from the capitalist grind.
It’s like folks *want* to act like humans, but don’t trust their own human bodies or the humans around them? Humanity without humans is not humanity, folks.
This is so soulless, I can't stand it. We have BRAINS. We can USE THEM.

Now she's taking action to stop the police failing women. Join us.👇

Sounds like he's trying to be a unifying voice reminding us that we all believe in free speech. Maybe an invitation to campus instead of an OpEd . . . . .
I will not link to it. I just want to reiterate that thousands of books have been banned by the right. And American Dirt sold millions of copies.

It makes me sad that the faculty don't understand that the police are our partners in protecting the campus as a site for disciplined free speech. Mulling over my next OpEd. 🤔 ✍️
I'm so grateful to my Barnard colleagues who wrote to the NYT in defense of true free speech on campus!!!!

This is exactly how AI provides more creative ways for talking about difficult subjects. See my forthcoming OpEd about how we can lower the temperature by thinking about structure rather than people.
The most innovative thing about AI has been its sociological impact.

AI really has in very little time eroded the concept of “ people get to tell you no”

It’s everyone’s favorite triangulation point to explain crossing other folks boundaries and contextless behavior

Digging into the speech codes that affect students. Michigan gets a yellow b/c it has a sexual harassment policy, and a policy that prohibits threatening language against staff. Seems like a very tangible representation of some tradeoffs when it comes to speech.

For example, U Michigan has some language that they can punish faculty, including firing if they violate the "orderly and efficient operation of the University."

Seems very broad!

So if faculty post something that fuels an online pile-on of the university, can I be fired? Does Fire track this?

They are only doing this because these capitulations to trans personhood have only detracted from the fundamental mission of a college: to train students in dealing with difficulty.
Under pressure from Texas government officials, Angelo State University in Texas is banning all discussion or mention of the existence of trans people along with banning the LGBTQ pride flag from campus and forced misgendering of trans people.
