This is a load of nonsense from Marina's agent and trying to frame "women's empowerment" as "please take whatever crap deal is being offered so our player can be somewhere else" is a gross distortion of it. If you want that level of empowerment, fight for no-trade clauses in the next CBA.

In her exit interview Sami Whitcomb talked about how she didn’t feel she had a role in Seattle and seemed mentally checked out. She is playing extremely well in the wnbl and I suspect she’ll have a good year in phoenix
