Happy Thanksgiving to everyone except the incredibly surly man *walking* in the Village Inn *drive-thru pre-paid* pie pickup line, who also, shockingly, had not pre-paid for his pies, and who then proceeded to berate the employees for being “incredibly disorganized.” Fuck that guy

Actual spiritual truth here imo…big honkin’ organs, candy-colored Renaissance frescos, colossal statues. Criticisms of massive churches as monuments to misspent money may be correct, but I’ve been at my most peaceful when I felt the *smallest* so I think there’s something to this sense of scale
