We are nomadic warriors united by one dream -- anointing JB Pritzker the Khagan of America
They didn't include Chicago on the list because everybody listed it 10 times so it distorted the results.
Bluesky: “Obviously the housing crisis is the only reason anyone would choose to live outside of NYC”

Actual Americans: “Vegas, baby!”

It is a beautiful Sunday, I am in Chicago for the first time in years, the Bears are playing at home against Aaron Rodgers (who injured his wrist masturbating recently) and I am going to be doing a walking tour today of Chicago's gangland history. I'm already on the bus so ride with me

X obviously incentivizes right-wing rage baiting, but there is still an audience out there that wants to take the bait.
The "People in India and other low-wage countries are farming racist rage-bait on X" phenomenon is downstream of Elon Musk manipulating the X algorithms to prioritize promoting racism.

This is the skeleton key. Trump's thinking: who cares what his politics are, look at this kid's ratings!
I think this clip is the key to understanding why Trump acted the way he did with Mamdani. His world revolves around TV ratings.

"I tell you, the press has eaten this thing up."

pretty clear what happened: Zohran converted Trump to the divine and immortal science of islamo-communism.

Mamdani is a handsome winner, and Trump loves handsome winners. It's the most predictable thing about him.
Alhamdulillah truly

Can we please get some people in Chicago who know how taxes work?
There is a property tax revolt starting in Chicago. One group is calling for a new policy 'modeled after California's Prop 13'

Folks, I will self-immolate in front of city hall if that happens

In these messages and others, Summers comes across as being pretty profoundly insecure. Clear how Epstein was able to ingratiate himself with a guy like that.

Either MTG's single Amtrak ride was enough to make her woke or these are all cynical and calculated moves in preparation for a possible 2028 Presidential run.

Finished it and it was great. Really scratched the sweet spot as a follower of American political history. I wish they had made more episodes!

Republicans have officially replaced Libertarians as the party of, "technically it's ephebophilia"
Megyn Kelly: "I know somebody very close to this case…Jeffrey Epstein, in this person's view, was not a pedophile…He was into the barely legal type, like he liked 15 year old girls…He wasn't into like 8 year olds…There's a difference between a 15 year old and a 5 year old."

NEW: Jeffrey Epstein said in emails that he had been advising the Russian government on how to deal with Donald Trump, one of several cases in which he wielded his connections to try to influence the course of foreign affairs. w @nahaltoosi

What’s brain melting about this is that the entire political system virtually ignored it for a decade despite massive amounts of evidence that Epstein and Trump had tons of connections on the basis of “nah that can’t be real, that’s silly”

We elected a criminal, and I'll never forgive the Biden admin for slow-walking his prosecution.

Three cueing is to zoomers what leaded gasoline was to Gen X
ever since I learned about three-cueing I've developed infinitely more patience for replies on social media. mfers literally do not know how to read. people are walking around conjuring random meanings into words they don't know, and they don't know a lot of words. it's crazy

It's almost like this attachment causes suffering. Now if only there were a way to end this attachment, we could end the suffering as well!
One of the biggest insights I've had over the past year is that many people, contra utilitarianism, are actually attached to pain and suffering, and view any attempt to help solve their problems or relieve them as a personal attack. It's one of those things you start seeing everywhere, can't unsee.
