one of the things that's so shocking about all of the recent ICE footage (they've clearly been encouraged to go apeshit) is how undisciplined and unprofessional they are, like, these people make local riot police look like pros, and i guarantee those police see that, too

I visited the apartment building ICE raided on Tuesday today. Story to come, but you can walk right in. Half of the apartments have no doors on them. Children's stuff abandoned in some flats. *Citizen* residents told me they were arrested and held for hours in zipties. This is America

The state is locked into an old paradigm of supporting the operations of federal law enforcement when they operate in IL.

But things have shifted - fed law enforcement are the bad guys now. It's time for the state, from the Gov on down, to recognize that and protect the people of IL from the feds.

Completely outrageous. The ICE raid in Chicago on the early morning of the 30th was conducted by absolute cowards - men descending by helicopter in the middle of the night to abuse women and children. It's time for the state to take legal action against out of control federal agents.
