One AI expert I talked with said that a ban on state AI regulations would have made state data center law impossible.

Given how controversial those things are EVERYWHERE, I could see this type of proposal being even less popular among lawmakers than it was during the Big Beautiful Bill debate.

Is it good for transcribing audio and organizing documents better? Sure. But infusing AI into every corner of our lives? I think there's a pretty big backlash brewing...

We watched Homerpalooza last night. I HATED that episode when I was a kid. But given that all the bands featured in that episode are now considered "oldies" bands ... Grandpa Simpson's "with it" monologue hits especially hard for me.

One of the few episodes that became more classic over time.

Eric’s book is an important part of the conversation that is being silenced by the political wonks who haven’t left the 20th century.
I've spent the last decade writing about autism and saying politicians should stop talking about vaccines. When my book came out, it felt like politics was moving there. But I feel like my life's work has been completely erased by RFK Jr., Trump and Bill Cassidy. I feel completely disoriented.

The CDC just updated its website saying "Scientific studies have not ruled out the possibility that infant vaccines contribute to the development of autism." Adds "this statement has historically been disseminated by the CDC and other federal health agencies within HHS to prevent vaccine hesitancy."

Will the Texas redistricting case affect the litigation in Missouri? Probably not.

The MO cases are all in state court, and they will likely be decided by the MO Supreme Court at some point next year – not the SCOTUS.

Still, the TX decision was a big blow to the national GOP redistricting push:

A three-judge federal panel struck down Texas’ new congressional map on racial gerrymandering grounds. Challenges to Missouri’s map don’t involve the same type of claim.
