Late Diagnosed Autistic, Getting Older, Tad Grumpy. Former Special Inspector in a Northern City, hopefully returning.
Radio Comms, Mechs, Dogs, Music and Gaming. Occasional Wildlife and outdoors photos.
Watching Office Space, and reminded how soundtracks used to be crafted rather than feeling like they're thrown together.

There was a mid-20th Century leader who demanded generals swore loyalty to him. Not the country or it's people, personal loyalty and did it fairly early in his period of governance. That turned out somewhat difficult for a lot of other countries.

I chatted with Illia Ponomarenko, a Ukrainian war reporter, about why Zelenskyy doesn't wear a suit.

Go to one of the local posh hospitals, open car door, stench of weed from the guys smoking in the carpark next door. Stay classy Chorley, stay classy.

Povmobile passed MOT without even an advisory. Not too shabby for a piece of Romanian/French engineering.

Watching Daredevil again, and the difference in quality between this and some of the slop that Disney have done since is kind of embarrassing.

I loath icebreakers. When you're doing them as part of a work training events you usually know everyone anyway.
Ice-breakers do not serve a useful function beyond sucking up time and creating discomfort among learners, same as putting people in to pairs with complete strangers and expecting them to get along.

Making people uncomfortable doesn’t help them learn.

Having recently finished Battlestar Galactica (Worth the time), I'm now rewatching The Expanse. However with this one my wife who generally hates non-Trek Sci-Fi is loving it.

I'm at the amusing moment where my daughter is introducing me to more "New" bands I'll never have heard of, but I've seen live. In some cases more than once.

It's a real shame what happened to Specials in PSOS. They could have an impact that is much larger than their numbers would indicate.

Due to how long it has been I suspect a rebuild of SCs in Scotland would be long and expensive now.
