Seeking the middle Way between panic and head-in-the-sand is tricky. I may not always get it right; it’s a work in progress.
Earlier in the season, I tossed an overgrown aloe shoot over the porch railing and it landed in a flower bed. Dang if that thing didn’t thrive. That last serious frost killed it, but it had an impressive run. I might do that again (but intentionally) come spring. It was kinda cool. #OutdoorAloe

Watching _Down Cemetery Road_ & it’s a blend of Get Smart, The Outsiders and a fever dream. Emma Thomson’s haircut is a character all on its own. It’s not at all believable which (for me) makes it much more entertaining. There’s some gore, but it’s more suggested than apparent. It’s growing on me.

Anyone else find it deeply uncomfortable that the president would take a personal interest in dictating how foster care is administered in this country? Why would a non expert step in like that? Can you think of one valid reason? I can’t.

I just adore watching the whole GOP implode whilst considering how I’ll wrap up the fig trees tomorrow. I think I’m supposed to cut back to the second node and thickly bury in straw. I’ll consult the book before I do the pruning. It’s a good day.

I put on an extra blanket and I think it's changed my entire outlook. I have zero idea why I waited this long to go full flannel sheets and poofy duvet but here we are. Cozy now and very grateful to this morning me, who made the bed.

Ok you guys. I just sat down with my a local (home and auto) insurance person and did a review. Looks like I’m going to save a ton of money and have better coverage! I sure wish I’d have done this sooner.

I was asking online about local airport shuttles & a neighbor that I thought of as pretty-hoop-de-do (their property abuts the lake) offered to be my ride for $50. Of course I’d rather give a neighbor $50 than a stranger, but wow. Married, two worker home, house on the lake - needs that side hustle.

What sort of upside down do we live in when the USDA is trying to kill us? They're inspecting nothing and food borne illnesses are all over the place, they're trying to withhold SNAP (which would have an incredibly quelling impact on the economy in general). My god I hate this timeline.
