This nebula is located in the constellation Vulpecula at a distance of more than 1,200 light-years.

NGC 1491 The Fossil Footprint Nebula (also referred to as LBN 704, SH2-206), is a bright emission nebula in the constellation Perseus about 9,800 light years from Earth. German-British astronomer William Herschel discovered the celestial body on Dec. 28, 1790. In astronomical circles, this object has been nicknamed the Fossil Footprint Nebula.
