There is no republican support. There will never be. We need more than Democrats talking about strongly worded letters on CNN. One of the many reasons why we lost.

The "Gulf of America" thing is ridiculous, but if the press gives in on this, the administration will just keep pushing - maybe conditioning access on deadnaming people, saying Trump won the 2020 election, you name it. Draw a line in the sand now, while the stakes seem small.

It really feels like no one is actually stepping in to challenge this from a legal perspective. Each day that passages where Elon is given carte blanche, the more real damage he’s doing.
I think it’s important to underline here that doing this to the federal government is illegal and a breach of the constitutional order
Musk's cost-cutting process is this: First, he asks to cut off payments. Then his people go line-by-line to justify expenses. If they can't, the expense is cut or severely reduced. Payments are withheld to payee, who either accept cut rates or is dared to take Musk to court.
