Anyone who has read Copaganda knows that we are in the crucial early moments of virality after an extra-judicial police murder. It's extremely important for ICE that the media plays along with the idea that what happened is contested and there are multiple perspectives.

The fact that the protests are this large on sub one day notice in the middle of winter is a sign that Renee Nicole Good is on the side of the people and that in the depths of our dispair we must remember that are going to fucking win

Moreover, ICE must be destroyed

The thing with this is there’s a heavy investment in making it appear as if being a decent person leads to a miserable existence when the opposite is true in my experience.
It's a bit weird how many people insist "socialism = vow of poverty"

There are moments the mask is removed, and all the lies evaporate. This quote by a District Attorney in California is incredible. He says the volume of shackled poor people brought to court--what he calls the "cattle call"--makes it impossible to consider them as individuals.

I am BEGGING sports media covering Ausberry as the new AD at LSU to include this in their coverage. If you don’t, you are bad at your job and should be embarrassed.
One last thing: the domestic violence confession that Ausberry sat on and did not report was about an LSU athlete. The football player had harmed an LSU athlete. And now Ausberry is interim AD and overseeing all of athletics and athletes. Ok.

While I get that sometimes any of us can benefit from having food delivered, the overall alienation/disconnection at every stage of delivered food is dismal to contemplate.

One question I tell young people going to do political work to always ask: Is the gist of this policy that someone--literally anyone--will materially suffer in order that someone else benefits? If so, it's probably not a good idea.

Turns out the secret to a coup is just do it on Friday. The opposition will make strongly worded posts and see what they can do about it on Monday

one of key functions of immigration raids & crackdowns is not to actually deport all migrants/refugees but to deepen conditions of social precarity & labor deportability. to make migrants more vulnerable to exploitation from bosses & landlords & banks, and to create scapegoats for austerity policies
