Here's a New Year's 🎇 pep talk from Pete Buttigieg:

Nobody who inspires us or had monuments given to them were living in good times.

The bigger the dragons they had to slay, the more inspiring their legacy.

We're living in times so bad they'll one day be romanticized by future generations. 👀

This is sinister. If you're wondering why so many people don't report sexual assault, this is why.
jesus the Palm Beach Police really sought arrest warrants against underage Epstein victims for coming forward and cooperating, and (purported) admitting to crimes, and it caused the victims to become uncooperative with the federal investigation

What we’re being told is that a guy who is an adjudicated rapist, who was credibly accused of sexual assault by dozens of women, who paid hush money to a porn star, who cheated on all his wives, who is mentioned hundreds of times in the Epstein files, couldn’t possibly be a sexual predator.

This is not standard practice. This is unprecedented. This is unheard of.

This is a sabotage of the American diplomatic machine. This is an affront to the professional Foreign Service that we have spent decades, a century in building in our country. And I don't know what it foretells.
How recall of career diplomats fits into Trump's foreign policy shift
In an unusual move, the Trump administration is recalling the ambassadors from nearly 30 countries around the world. William Brangham discussed this move with John Dinkelman, president of the American...

This US administration is now completely losing any semblance of sanity in sanctioning "censorship masterminds". There's no other way to put it, this is tin pot dictatorship territory and must be called out as such. Including in the US.
Definite upsurge in Trump administration attacks on the EU / Europe in the last week, and I think of it rather as a cross between a toddler tantrum and an arsonist where the key fact is the project to reshape the world and even the US is failing.

There needs to be a class action lawsuit.

Instacart admitted it was using AI to charge different people different prices for the exact same items. Algorithmic price gouging. That scam could cost a family of four $1,200 more a year.
