Happy Friday everyone!

I got an email from The National Audubon Society with a reminder of how dangerous Halloween decorations can be for our feathered friends. Netting can be particularly dangerous as birds can get caught in the nets. Please keep this in mind when putting out your decorations.

Some insects are more odd than others. Here is a Plane lace bug,
Corythucha ciliata that feeds on sycamore and plane trees. It is native to N America and has been introduced and spread in Europe. It is 3-4mm large.

Sometimes when I go into work very early, or head home late, I'll come across these guys on their own routes. Usually, it's a neat encounter, we just glance at each other. When they cut me off fairly close, I've blurted out 'sir! Do you mind? Saucy.' They always turn and look, lol.
