Ann Burrell’s passing has affected me deeply. Never knew her, but she was one of the “celebrity” chefs who exhibited her skill honestly, authentically, and with passion. Made me want to get in the kitchen. One couldn’t help but appreciate her presence.

I don’t do politics on social media. But I do look at the Trump administration and wonder: “why is everyone just an asshole?” Like for real. The way every person in the admin addresses others. Just assholes.

I'm trying to built an AI agent using the various tools and frameworks available and I'm shocked at how bad everything from the libraries and documentation are. Maybe it's just early, but I'd expect a 2015 level of quality before promising the whole world is about to change.

there are plenty of fair criticisms of me but the one that actually annoys me is when people treat me like my anger about a situation reflects poorly on me somehow, that being emotional about the completely collapse of our democracy is somehow gauche and invalidates whatever i'm saying

I am thinking, maybe the people who need to blow up a rocket 38 times to get “data” before finally learning how to, on occasion, land something back on earth without incident… maybe these aren’t the right people to make “improvements” to air traffic control.

It’s becoming a real challenge to figure out how I want to manage my social media presence in my new meta-free life. I feel like the “every day is a fresh hell” angle is getting played out.
