Of course, the simpler and more broad of a core idea that a game has, the less reasonable it feels to see it as an issue when something takes inspiration from it, especially if the game inspired by it seems to do it so much better. I think it's all a pretty interesting discussion.

But then again, plenty of successful people, especially in the past took heavy inspiration from existing things and it worked out, becoming even more successful than what it was inspired by because it was generally considered better.

I do think there's value in taking your inspiration and making something brand new from it, especially if you have bigger plans for it and want the final product to not just be "that game heavily inspired that other game." no matter how good it is.

There is a point where it feels less like making something similar and more like making a reskinned fan-game. However, I also wouldn't say that's a bad thing, while it makes it difficult for it to stand out as it's own thing, ideally it wouldn't be a legal issue...

Like games where there aren't a lot of other games being made directly comparable to it and the idea that there absolutely should be. I think it's a valid point, and it is good for even extremely similar games to be made as it encourages everyone to innovate.

And here's the banner image by itself! It's just some pixel art I made of a area in a RPG game I'm going to begin dev work on next year. I just wanted to make something to get my imagination going for the vibe of the game, especially in that area. #pixelart #ドット絵 #indiedev

probably, that or they are on a device which doesn't have looping as a option, the mobile app only got looping added a few years ago and the TV app still doesn't let you loop. I guess it's also possible they don't want to have the little gap in audio between the video ending and the video looping.

Thank you! Do you mean a demo of the first game I was making? I never compiled a build of it and the videos show pretty much all there was, so it would really be more trouble than it's worth... As for the new game, I'm planning to release that at the start of next year.
