Finally, here is a short look at the opening cutscene I made. There was an entire sequence in the room originally but it broke and I don't feel like figuring out my old code to fix it... There was also a small test area I made where you help Oxnard find his sunflower seed but that broke too.

Here's a look at the dialogue box. A simple feature, but I like the way I made it look aesthetically. Somehow it broke because of a newer thing I added so I had to do a bit of work to get it working again...

Here's a look at the title screen. I made the sunflowers in the logo move with the music! I remember it would often de-sync though. I probably could have made a script that actually made the sunflowers move with the music properly.

One of the last things I added was the inventory. I believe it was somewhat functional but it seems to be missing from the current version I have and I have no footage of it being used properly.

Near the end of me working on it there were a lot of random features added, like time of day, visual seasons and I had started working on a farming system. The initial idea was to make a game like Hamtaro: Rainbow Rescue, which would have been hard enough on it's own...

A couple of years ago I began working on a Hamtaro fan game, it helped me learn a lot of stuff in Unity back then but I was very overly ambitious with it. It ended up being more of a playground where I would try out new stuff in Unity. #hamtaro #gamedev #ハム太郎 #indiedev
