Trump is just there to provide moral cover for Putin by musing about invading neighbors.
Trump’s musings about Greenland, Canada, and the Panama Canal startled America’s allies and delighted foreign foes. In Russia, they were interpreted to mean that he isn’t really opposed to foreign wars of conquest after all.
