A woman is getting threats because she posted her PhD. In the real world, anyone saying the things in her comments would be shunned. On Twitter, they’re amplified and celebrated. So in addition to it not being fun, it’s also not productive. You can’t have convos or get feedback anymore.
People are leaving Twitter because it’s not fun anymore and no one is obligated to be on a platform they don’t enjoy.

This remains an extremely closely divided nation. Any agenda viewed as extreme is likely to face backlash.
