I’ve been reading this by Linda Gask. It’s a beautiful illustration of the oppression women experience in society which leads to some awful experiences in mental health care…

It was such a treat to meet Pandora Sykes yesterday and have an in-depth chat about all things adolescence.

Thanks to everyone who came to listen and for keeping me on my toes in the Q&A, finding studies from the back of my brain about sleep, pornography, bullying and phones of course 🤪

So as an intake therapist, I’m supposed to assess for the appropriate level of mental health care. But I see a lot of parents with kids who have never been in therapy. They’re scared and lost. How am I supposed to assess, form a connection, and alleviate fears in just one hour?
