I know statistics are poorly understood and are misused. But facts matter

Between the 1991, 2001, 2011 and 2021 Census *every* ethnic group in the UK has become *less* geographically segregated and *all* groups, majority and minorities, are more likely to interact with people not like them

This also isn’t true!!! There is a public consultation NOW OPEN and you can go have your say. Obviously they want to present it as a done deal but it’s not.

Totally agree, wkg class voices not heard. Properly funding arts = properly funding artists. Also it's not a binary of working class / 'generationally wealthy' - plenty of 'middle class' writers who aren't able to create, <1 month's pay away from not being able to keep their kids housed / fed etc.

"We have a vision for this place we call home. Boldness

means connecting with how hard it is right now for so many

It means presenting a positive vision not just of the future

but what we can all do right now."

It also doesn't make sense not to offer vaccines for family and carers of clinically vulnerable people

Today I experienced the latest in a run of incidences of unreliable police computer systems, when I rang Action Fraud to ask where was my 'confirmation email' with case ref. no. to be told "oh sometimes they just don't arrive". So you'll forgive my scepticism about digital ID...

Be more Quaker

This, from the Quakers, is a pretty good example of how to resist pressure from bigot lobbying groups. Effectively “we legally can allow trans people to use the loo, we morally should, and we tried it and nothing bad happened”
