It has been two long years since the horrific 7 October attacks, and still 48 Israeli hostages are not free.

I really want to see the hope from current peace negotiations bear fruit for these victims, and true peace found with real action to end the genocide.

The Greens requested an interview on the Laura Kuenssberg Show with Zack Polanski when he was elected leader, but were denied, with a promise to interview him during Green conference instead.

This was then scrapped citing the Manchester synagogue attack. Polanski is both Jewish and from Manchester

A constituent's son, part of the flotilla, has been detained by the Israeli navy.

I have written to the Foreign Secretary to ask how the Govt is supporting those detained, who bravely risked everything to oppose the collective punishment of Gazans and this illegal blockade.

Police say they are responding to an incident in Crumpsall, Greater Manchester Greater Manchester Police said a suspect has been shot and four people have suffered injuries caused by a vehicle and stabbings at a synagogue in Crumpsall north of the city. The force said: Police were called to the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation Synagogue, on Middleton Road, Crumpsall, at 9.31am by a member of the public, stating he had witnessed a car being driven towards members of the public, and one man had been stabbed. The UK public, all demographics, support climate action. A huge public campaign led to the Climate Change Act, and it has meant more action on job creation, nature protection, energy security, and wellbeing.

It is obvious the Conservatives are listening to vested interests not the public interest.

Today along with @sianberry.bsky.social I've published a report on our constituents' appalling experiences of the leasehold system. From extortionate fees to poor treatment at the hands of management companies, residents are being held to ransom in their own homes. Govt must act fast.

I have come to the conclusion the EHRC guidance on single sex spaces should not even come to Parliament. It is misleading and has caused distress for my trans constituents.

I urge @bphillipsonMP to reject it on grounds of practicality and human rights.

After being used in WW2 compulsory ID cards were abolished in 1952 because of the widespread sentiment that they are fundamentally at odds with British values and civil liberties.

The UK government has confirmed it will finally recognise the state of Palestine - a welcome step.

But this must be accompanied by real, concrete actions to bring an end to the genocide in Gaza, including boycotts, sanctions and the end of arms sales to Israel.

During this period almost all the local party officers had access to a dashboard that would show you the total membership numbers. IIRC we had to be told to stop all refreshing this page every ten seconds as we were adding to the massive load on the system ;)
