Yeah ngl a weeklong blackout does not sound like a great idea.

I get flashbacks to "Blackout Tuesday" on instagram. Rather that being vocal everyone just flooded the feed with a black square. An aesthetic victory with little substance.

Sites that don’t have ads don’t lose or gain from inactivity…only making the voices of censorship louder

Instead of sending feedback/emails and boosting community? Spreading out instead of banning together?
