never forget that the story starts with Asa being killed for her perceived sexual power over a man by another girl who has internalized this set of social expectations
it is tragic that this scene is just seen as “haha nudie photo” when it’s such a good distillation of part 2’s commentary about how women have to navigate life and achieve power through their proximity to men and ability to gratify them by adhering to expected sexual roles

my greatest wish for the CSM fandom is to understand that you can harm someone without malice, that relationships can fundamentally break in ways that can’t be repaired through finding a commonality, and that seeing someone doing both of those things is not a moral judgement on their character

Csm is crazy because I can say “Death killed Yoshida and by doing so and as a result of the situation has made him functionally immortal” and that both makes sense as a sentence and also as a theory for what is going on here

I love when Fujimoto gets to color. Yoru’s eyes look so sick on the volume cover. The palette shift almost inverts her eye pattern, making her look much more like her detested sister, the Control Devil.
